Powder Coating Across Northwest New Jersey

The shop is in Hackettstown, where Warren, Morris and Sussex counties meet. Most of northwest Jersey is a short run out.

Unlimited Powder Coating works out of one shop in Hackettstown, New Jersey, which sits almost exactly where Warren, Morris and Sussex counties meet. That is the whole reason the service area looks the way it does: 36 towns across three counties are within an easy run, and parts get dropped off and picked up rather than shipped.

Everything happens in that one building — blasting, stripping, welding and coating — so a part never travels between subcontractors and nobody is waiting on anybody else.

What happens between drop-off and pick-up

The route is the same whichever county a part arrives from, and every step happens in the Hackettstown building rather than at a partner shop down the road.

  1. 01

    Photos and a quote

Text photos of the parts, the damage or old finish, and say what color you are after. That is enough for a real answer on fit, prep and price.

  2. 02

    Strip and blast

Old paint, powder and undercoating come off chemically, then the metal is blasted with media matched to the substrate. Nothing gets coated over.

  3. 03

    Repair, if it needs it

Cracks and broken tabs usually turn up during prep. Welding is in the same building, so a repair is a phone call rather than a second trip.

  4. 04

    Mask, coat and cure

Threads and machined surfaces get masked, the part is hung and sprayed, then baked until the powder flows out and bonds. Specialty finishes take more than one pass.

Outside those three counties?

Plenty of work arrives from further out, especially production and batch jobs where the drive is worth it. Describe what you have and where you are, and you will get a straight answer rather than a maybe.
